My elderly neighbors tend to leave every weekend to their cabin getaway. This last Friday, a package was delivered to them after they left. Being the good, friendly neighbor that I am, I picked up the package so it wouldn't sit all weekend.

Gave it back to them last night. The neighbor gave me kind of a weird look, but thanked me. Then he said "I don't know if you want to hear this or not, but you've had my mother's remains in your apartment all weekend."

Good lord.

ummmm. why did they leave for the weekend when they were expecting their mother's remains to be delivered?? you should have to sign for that.

it unnerves me that you can just send dead people in the mail like that. "oh honey! how exciting! mom always wanted to fly! Too bad she had to be barbecued first..." Not to mention that the post office can just leave them in a box on your porch. (for your unsuspecting neighbor to kindly pick up for you, chuckles)

holy crap! a random dead person in your apt! uh they should have paid you for that one. you should probably purify your house or something 'cause thats just weird. dead people in the mail. wow. what has this world come to. respect for the elderly and deceased? yah, doesnt exist here in america anymore, we just ship them fedex. i need a shower.
