you generous bastardPosted Wednesday, March 17th 2004 @ 10:29AM
Got the keys to the house yesterday, so I spent until about 12:30am moving boxes. When I first walked into the kitchen, someone had put a freezer there, which by itself, would have kicked all kinds of ass. Then I opened it. Trevor had bought us the freezer for a housewarming gift, and then went and -totally- filled it with various alcohols and beers, mainly optimator (my favorite.) So Trevor, your new mission is to help me drink it over the course of a few months worth of Starcraft marathons. Thanks man. :) Random thought. I moved stuff for about 5 hours last night, but I don't feel like I made much of a dent. I've come to the conclusion that after 3.5 years of marriage, we've somehow managed to accumulate an enormous amount of shit. Before I was married, I could move myself across town in a few hours. This feels like it's going to take all week. I blame my wife. |

And I'd totally take you up on it. I could even feed you alcohol!
I had a few beers last night from the freezer after I was too tired to go back for more boxes. It felt kind of weird to be sitting on the kitchen floor in an quiet, empty house... drinking. :)
Okay. I liked it.

What Mahlon left out was that some of the beers EXPLODED due to somebody closing the lid of the freezer, thus making the beer a bit TOO frosty. It's like Weird Al said once: There's no more time for crying over spilled milk, Now it's time for crying in your beer.
Too true, Al.

This happened after my initial post. ;)
And the 'someone' who closed the lid to the freezer is a total mystery, cause Deena swears it wasn't her. Jury is still out on that. :)
We didn't have that many casualties, though! Lost the margarita mix, and about 4 red stripes. 2 optimators. The stuff that did explode didn't do it nicely out the top, but burst glass everywhere. Awesome.
All things considered, it could have been a lot worse. I took the opportunity to empty it all out and move it into the garage. Booyeah!
