Took a bath tonight for some reason. Haven't had one in like... eons. Just kind of relaxed and zoned out. Damn nice.

Was up there for a pretty long time. When I finally got out and went downstairs, there was a strange puddle on the floor. I'm thinking to myself at this point "Did Naia fucking go and pee on the floor?!!?"

Then I see another puddle. And hear a drip. Deena comes into the room, saying, "OH SHIT", and looking up. I follow her stare to the ceiling, which has suddenly got some plaster cracks in it, and is dripping some rust colored water rather steadily now.

Anyway. Naia, sorry I blamed you for a second. Old houses are fun, but holy CRAP this sucks. I mean, really. What the hell am I supposed to do here? Deena's going to call the home owners insurance tomorrow, and see if it takes care of this sort of thing.

So the tub leaks? Or the pipes?

I assume you didn't fall asleep in the tub and let the water run over the side, otherwise you would've included that key detail.... I'd hope.

Nope, no bathtub overflow whatsoever. Since the water coming in through the ceiling is rusty, I'm guessing an old pipe has a big fat rusted out hole. Of course, it's just a guess. Won't know anything until I have someone come in and rip everything apart. :|

Were you able to drill a hole to relieve all of the standing water or anything like that?

A ceiling trepanation, so to speak.
