I don't understand the "Bjore strips" commercials, that feature a bunch of giggling girls having a face cleaning party, and showing each other (and the camera) all of the embedded dirt in their pores.

"THIS PRODUCT WORKS! COME EXAMINE MY NEW GIANT COLLECTION OF BLACKHEADS"

I think other hygene products should adopt the same advertising philosophy. Like Q-Tips. I want to see that product do its thing. Show me a cute girl extracting some gelatinous waxy chunks with them! Of course, in a manner that is attractive to my age bracket. You know, like a Earwax rave.

We've got a coffee hookup down the street, at a local Coffee People we frequent.

She surprised us a few days ago with a 6 SHOT "Depth Charge" - (an Americano with coffee instead of water.)

I'm still recovering from that, 2 days afterwards, when she slips us another this morning. I've taken literally 3 liberal sips, and my keys per minute typing rate has quadrupled. Note that is "keys" per minute, not "words" per minute, as the key with the largest ratio of punching is backspace. My fingers, flooded with caffeine, apparently want to just type whatever the hell they feel like.

I give my heart about an hour or so before it leaps from my chest and does a jig on my desk.

I shouldn't be awake right now, but here I am. My home router finally blew up last night (it was amazing it lasted as long as it did with what parts I scraped up to build it) - and so since I have no other emergency machines to use in its place, I sacrificed my windows box. (This also gives me the excuse to buy a new gaming machine eventually, heh heh.)

Tossed FreeBSD 5.3-BETA7 on there. So far so good, but something weird with the module load order with vinum. Randomly getting boot panics, 'danging vnode'. Dangling?! Sexy. No, wait. Gross. As long as I manually load vinum after exiting the boot cycle (like from an rc script) it works fine. Weird. Something for google/lists tomorrow. Sooo many packages to config and install. Kinda fun, actually.

I still haven't found time to put Stinkymeat back up. It was nice of theSpark to send me what they had of it from backup after their sudden demise (well, demise of their content dept, anyway) - but holy god their templating system was disgusting. Sooo much cruft to remove. Nasty. I still get random mail from people asking what happened to Stinkymeat, so I guess that keeps me motivated enough to want to put it back up. (Though really, it's been like 5 years now. No one is really reading that anymore, right??)

I have a 7k patch sitting here to add StaticCling support to ez-ipupdate, and by proxy, to m0n0wall. However, the ez-ipupdate author appears to have disappeared off the face of the earth. His domain isn't even registered anymore. Shit.

Bleh. I should post more, but the only time I feel like being chatty for no reason it at 2:21am.

Tomorrow is most certainly a coffee morning.
