Now you're (assuming I read you correctly) a 'remote employee', do you foresee any difficulties you hitherto didn't have with "staying in the loop" with what goes on over the coming months?
I've done quite a bit of remote contracting in the past, so it won't be a totally new thing to me - but I'll be missing out on some of the social fun of working with these guys I've grown accustomed to. There will definitely be a adjustment period, but I'll be flying down frequently to have some face-to-face time. I'm thinking of it in terms of what we do with right now.
Overall, I'm not too worried about it. I can still be pretty noisy from a long distance. :)
Cool! Glad the powers-that-be had the sense to keep you on. Things should definitely be interesting there from now on, especially considering the vast disparity between the programming philosophies and quality of the two codebases. =:P
