Yep, I'm movin on

Since a few of ya'll have messaged me, I'm assuming it's public knowledge now that I resigned yesterday.
I won't bother filling in blanks with reasons why or why not (those of you I've talked to know already) - and I've sent some detailed rationalizations to various people inside of SixApart... but it really just comes down to "I got a better offer."
I wish I could have been in the office, and had closer relationships with all the new people brought on since LJ and 6A teamed up - but regardless of that, I'll really be missing everybody. I think we all made a pretty good team, I don't think I've ever worked with such skilled and dedicated people. (No, that's not just blowing smoke... if I didn't mean it, I just wouldn't have posted. :)
My last day is Dec 2nd - I'm still here, hackin away until then. After that point, you've all got my contact info. I fully expect everyone to keep in touch with me, or else I'll share all the dirt I've accumulated over the last 2 years. :)

Congratulations on the opportunity, and I know I'll miss working with you!

This is the first I've heard officially, but I suspected it was coming.
Since being in SF I've been missing our eXtreme programming combination, but I also understand the difficulties and headaches of working remotely, especially when better options are available. You'll definitely be missed among the team. :-/
Next time I'm in Portland, be ready for a trip to Market Street...

Good luck with your new job. Hopefully you'll continue to post in your journal. :)

Oh wow. Congrats on moving on to better things. I didn't get to know you too well (hooray for double-remoteness), but I'll miss having your sense of humor around in changelog and stuff.
Best wishes!

If you disappear from LJ, Imma cut you!
ahem
Seriously -- congrats on the opportunity. I will miss knowing that you are on mute on the Monday morning call (and knowing what you're doing, heh)

OMG I'm so sad!! :( I guess there's no reason I have to stop harrassing you via IM though.
Congratulations on your new opportunity. Sigh. Sniff.
You can cheer us up with more photos of your cat in a dress. :D

All of the best times I've had in this company have been with the people. Tags was one of the most fun projects I've ever done, simply because I had a partner in crime, and we worked together to accomplish the task at hand.
I was really looking forward to working on ESN with you, but I guess I knew this was coming down the pipe, so I didn't get TOO entrenched in the idea. It will be sad to not have you around for that -- if nothing else, I think your skills are very complementary to mine, and I think we get along famously.
Anyway... I'm not gonna break down and cry all over your journal here, but we have been working together for two years now, and I've seen people drop off along the way. Michael, Ben, and now you.
It's getting harder and harder to justify why I'm sticking around. Let me know if you ever need anybody up in your neck of the woods, I'd love to move back to P-town.
there once was code here now it is gone forever there goes the seagull
I'm sure we'll keep in touch. I hope so, anyway. I guess I'm all doom and gloom right now. Pardon...
