I started the car and began to drive.

I must have been driving for about 2 or 3 minutes before I heard the sound. A small, barely audible scraping noise coming from the roof of my car. At first, I dismissed it as a car noise, (my car was making lots of weird noises at that time) but it continued to increase in volume.

I started to slow down to check what the hell was making that noise, when an upside down head appeared at the top of my windshield.

"MEEEEEEEEEEEEEIIIIWW!!!"

Germ was on TOP of my CAR, and hanging on for dear life. His pitiful mewlings sounded like he was begging me to pull over... I thought about it for a few more minutes, and then decided it was the right thing to do.

I got back out of the car. Germ was on the hood, spread eagle, with paint chips and scrape marks surrounding him. He looked like a cat that had been on a rollercoaster, his eyelids were literally peeled open.

I pulled him off the car and put him inside it. He looked up at me lovingly as he curled up and started purring again. Fine with me. As long as he didn't meow, I decided that the purring was fine. I continued onward to the grocery store, grabbing a cheap bottle of Jalepeño flavored wine.
